There appears to be an error in the DRV8323 datasheet. Sections 9.2.1.2.4 and 9.2.2.2.1 Equations 23 and 28 appear incorrect because they state that the gain must be greater than max voltage/(sense resistor * max current). I believe that it should be the gain is LESS than the max voltage / (current * sense resistor). The maximum voltage out of the amplifier can't be more than the linear range of 1.4V (for bidirectional operation. If you take the sense resistor and multiply it by the max current and then amplify it by the gain it must be LESS than 1.4v. If you use the equations as written, it believe it results in too much voltage out of the DRV.
Example from datasheet: 40Amps * 0.0025 ohms = 0.1 volts * gain of 20V/v = 2 volts (which violates the 1.4v max for the linear range)
Am I correct or am I misunderstanding something?
