DRV8701: Certified current limit protection

Thanks for your post. TI official paperwork for all specifications of the device including current limit protection, OCP (over current protection) parameter, is the datasheet of the device, https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/drv8701.pdf. See below screen shot. Current limit is determined by the VDS voltage of the external FET. Our specifications are in VDS voltage level. The corresponding current limit will depend on the Rdson of the external FET used in your application.

This type of VDS based OCP is utilized in our gate drivers including automotive qualified gate drivers such as the DRV8706-Q1, DRV8714-Q1, DRV8718-Q1 are currently deployed in several automotive applications.
