DRV8243-Q1: DRV8243 SPI version, how to configure pin if use SPI for bridge control only

Hi team,

I'd like to double confirm if below understanding correct:

If use SPI version to save I/O resource, customer should leave below register as default, IN and PH pin connect to ground, DRVOFF pin connect to logic high, right?

Hi Scarlett,

Yes, this is correct. To enable the driver SPI_IN_LOCK must be set b10 for unlocking the SPI_IN register for SPI control of the bits in the register. For PH/EN and PWM full-bridge the bridge should be enabled with S_DRVOFF = 0. For independent half-bridge mode S_DRVOFF = 0, for enabling the first half-bridge and S_DRVOFF2 = 0, for enabling the second half-bridge.

Thanks for your confirmation. Could you please help confirm if my understanding of hardware pin connect is correct? PH and EN pin connect to ground and DRVOFF connect to logic high.
