    Hi Matthew,

    The DRV8962 DDV package requires an external heatsink. The thermal properties for the external heatsink is customer heatsink dependent. Thermal calculation tool for DDV package would not make sense unless a model is created with a specific heatsink.

    Customer can use the power loss calculations provided in section 8.1.3.2 Power Loss Calculation of the datasheet and estimate the junction temperature using the actual RθJA  with their heatsink. Additional heatsink related design inputs are provided in section 9.2 DDV Package in the datasheet. Thanks.
