Does the DVDD pin need to be used or can we use our own 5VDC supply?

Hi Rick,
The DVDD is internally connected integrated LDO regulator. You must not connect an external supply to DVDD pin. It requires an external bypass capacitor as suggested in the datasheet. The DVDD also must not be used to drive any external loads. Thanks.

Hi Murugavel, Thank you for that information. I am interested in using our own supply versus the DVDD pin. I won't be tying anything to the DVDD pin , but rather select the supply I need through zero ohm network. Would this be any problem with Reference?
Hi Rick,
I may have misunderstood your question. Perhaps you were asking if you can use external source to generate VREF voltage instead of the DVDD supply. The answer to this is, yes, this is totally fine and usually how it is used in many applications. In our EVM we use the DAC output of the onboard MCU to provide a variable VREF based on the GUI settings 0 to 3.3V. Thanks.
