DRV8873: Duration of nFAULT pin is low

Part Number: DRV8873

Hi team,

May I know the duration of nFAULT pin is low?

Best regards,

Shunsuke Yamamoto

  • Hi Yamamoto-san,

The nFAULT pin is pulled logic low with a fault condition. The duration the nFAULT pin is pulled low depends on the fault condition that triggered it.

A latched fault can be cleared through a nSLEEP reset pulse for a time greater than the nSLEEP deglitch time of 5 us and shorter than 20 us.

For more information on the nSLEEP reset pulse see section 7.4.1.4 of the datasheet.

    Best,

    David

  • Hi David,

Thank you for the reply. I apologize that my question was vague. During the device start up, nFAULT pin is pulled logic low, right? What I would like to know is the duration that nFAULT pin is puled logic low.

    Best regards,

    Shunsuke Yamamoto

  • Hi Yamamoto-san,

    Thank you for clarifying.

During start up, the wake up time for nFAULT to go high and ready for input signals is twake = 1.5ms.

    Best,

    David
