DRV3901-Q1: How to use it with 24V systems

Hello,

How can I use this part ( DRV3901-Q1 ) with automotive 24V systems?
I see that VDRV Over voltage trigger threshold & VDRV Over voltage warning threshold ( VDRV_OV_W _RISE & VDRV_OV_RI SE ) are set between 26V to 28V while 24V systems can reach 27V while charging the battery.

Thanks for the question.

Could you please confirm what all functionalities are expected to be present at during the charging of the battery(27V as you have mentioned above)

The deployment and off state diagnostics functions are not available above the VDRV_OV threshold, however the SPI is available for the host to read back these flags.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I need the part to be fully functional ( Deploy Function, Off-state Diagnostics & SPI Communication ).
Can't VDRV_OV be disabled?

HI Ahmed,

Unfortunately the DRV3901 does not have an option to disable VDRV_OV. The deployment and off-state diagnostics will be unavailable above OV

Another option to think about is to do a down conversion of the battery voltage.
