My understanding of the DRV8316 is that it has lowside current sense with an integrated ADC. Does the DRV8316 sample the current while the lowside MOSFET is engaged and hold it, or will the microcontroller have to sample the current sense output at the correct time? When the lowside MOSFET is off, will the current sense output drop to zero or will it hold the value that was recorded while the MOSFET was on?
