DRV8313: Difference between H-bridge and half bridge in a sine wave controller

Part Number: DRV8313

Hi Team,

I am looking to control a BLDC motor using a sine wave controller and need a driver for this application.
Now I have come across various things about an H-bridge and a half bridge driver which were not entirely clear to me.
When using a trapezoidal waveform, there is obviously 0V, floating and Vcc needed but with the sine wave this is only a PWM signal with just high/low signals.
So, does it still have advantages to use an H-bridge with a sine wave controller, or does this make less of a difference?

Thanks, Wessel
