DRV8262: Alternates for DRV8432DKD

Hi,

We've been informed that DRV8432DKD part numbered Brushed DC Motor Driver IC has become obsolete. And it has been told that there is no exact replacement for this part. Therefore, we are searching for alternatives. While doing so, we have come across DRV8262DDVR part numbered driver IC. However, when we check the availability of that product on your website, we see that it is not listed in your ordering and quality list. Only the DDW package (DRV8262DDWR) seems available.

Is DDV package of this driver available to order? And furthermore, do you recommend it as a replacement for DRV8432DKD?

It seems like DDW packages are more common in these types of drivers. Do you see any danger of supply chain or life cycle risk with DDV packages?

Unfortunately the DDV package is not available to order yet. It should be released within the next few months.

Please also check out DRV8245-Q1, it is a smaller package BDC motor driver that might be a better option.

No supply chain or life cycle risk once we get them released. DRV8432 package was not made by TI, so we did not have a say in choosing if the device EoL.
