Hi Team,

On customer board, there is the inrush current issue of 40A and around 10ms due to their motor load. So they want to know how to make the overcurrent detection time longer than msec unit and how to protect FET damage by overcurrent under other conditions. Please check it and let me know.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your questions. Over current protection DG time cannot be longer.

    In order to reduce inrush current like 40A 10ms, normally PWM operation is use. Provide PWM signal from MCU then increase duty cycle gradually while starting up motor. For example, 20KHz PWM from 10% duty to 100% takes ~100ms.
