DRV8329: Does holding sleep pin low reset faults?

We are looking into using the DRV8328 or DRV8329 as a replacement for an obsolete gate driver.  We see in the datasheet that a 1us to 1.2us low pulse on the sleep pin will clear faults.  We are wondering if pulling the sleep pin low and holding also clears faults?

Our current firmware and our current chip resets faults when sleep is held low.  We want to avoid changing the firmware so the replacement chip must also clear faults when sleep is held low (i.e. doesn't require the short pulse to clear faults).
