Hi,

Does keeping enable & nSLEEP pin in high condition with external pullup, keep the DRV8426 in auto retry mode for below condition

1. VM Undervoltage Lockout

2. VCP Undervoltage Lockout

3. Overcurrent Protection

4. Latched Shutdown

5. Thermal Shutdown (OTSD)

what is typical recovery time for auto retry mode?

Does for each above condition can be tracked using nfault pin?

Hi AG,

The Automatic Retry condition will only trigger for OCP or OTSD conditions. During these conditions, EN is high and nFAULT will go low for time tRETRY = 4ms typically and the outputs will be disabled. When IOCP and/or OTSD are less then there threshold values, the device will resume normal operation.

it seems, having control on this (enable) pin does not give any benefit in other fault condition, is it correct?

I am not sure I understand your question. We don't have any specific documentation regarding the better performance of the "EN" pin. All supported documentation for this device can be found on the product page.
