DRV8411A: Information about leak current flow through the VREF pin.

Guru 10010 points
Part Number: DRV8411A

Tool/software:

Hi,

1. Does a leak current flow through the VREF pin?

2. Does VREF have any effect when switching to low-power sleep mode? I would like to confirm whether the VREF pin must be powered off during low-power sleep mode.

3. According to Figure 8-6 in the datasheet, is it correct to say that the current sense may deviate by 35% at 0.1A?

Thanks,

Conor

  • Hi Conor,

    1. No, the VREF pin should not have any significant leakage current.

    2. No, the VREF pin does not have any effect on low-power sleep mode. As long as all inputs are low for time tSLEEP.

    3. Yes, it is correct to say from the graph that the deviation at 0.1A will be around 35%.

    Best,

    David
