DRV8718-Q1: Low IQ powered off braking off function

Hi Team,

We have some general questions relate to the DRV8718-Q1 low IQ powered off braking function.

1. Right now we are achieving the POB function with external OV detect, while there is internal OV detect inside the DRV8718 as well. Is it a good idea to remove the external OV detect and use internal OV detect? Will this internal fully support the low IQ braking function?

2. According to datasheet, the POB can only enable when low-power sleep mode(nSLEEP=LOGIC LOW). What will DRV8718 react when nSLEEP=logic high and Brake=logic high?

1) Are there key things from the customer that they care about? Have they had the chance to evaulate it? for the Here is an article on POB:

2) You are correct POB is only available when nSLEEP = Low. In active mode(nSLEEP=High), DRV has PVDD Overvoltage protection, which is shown in the table below:
