    Hey Adam,

    Yes, it could.  You would use the device in independent 1/2 bridge control mode and use 3 1/2 bridges for the BLDC motor.  You would have to manually implement the BLDC commutation pattern and use external MCU to read the hall sensors of the motor.  

    If your only load is a BLDC motor I recommend looking at TI's BLDC motor driver portfolio instead.
