My MCU is operating at 3.3V and its IO is connected to DRVOFF pin directly. I am much concerned about the following comment,
"Your MCU could be damaged by this activity.
And DRVOFF pin has internal pull up to VDD(5V)."
From the above comment, it looks we shouldn't connect the MCU operating with 3.3V to DRVOFF pin as the VDD on the DRV8245-Q1 is at 5V. So, DRVOFF pin will be at 5V state and it could cause a damage to my MCU.
We already fabricated the PCB (around 150nos) for our next field trial.
My question here is "Can i disconnect the DRVOFF connection from MCU and connect to GND directly, so nSLEEP will be at Logic 0 by default and thus helps to keep the driver in a Hi-Z state. Looking for experts advice and I am new to this device.
