DRV8353: Footprint creepage pin 13 and pin 14

Part Number: DRV8353

Tool/software:

Hi,

my customer is using DRV8353SR.

  • Pin 13 is 0V (GND)
  • Pin 14 is max 66V

According to IPC2221, this results in class 100V difference and requires 0.5mm creepage distance between pins 13 and 14.
The pin pitch for this device is 0.5mm, but the layout footprint is of course less than pin pitch. It is 0.21mm and so much less than the required 0.5mm

Am I missing something or do they have a problem?
What standards do our devices fulfill in this regard?
Is IPC2221 too stringent?

They have a similar issue with INA241A2-Q1.

Best regards
