From the forum : motrol control not working as expected DRV8847EVM
By following your answer to that question
I have worked on the board DRV8847EVM
followed same steps
a.Install all J6, J7 and J8; Short OUT1 to OUT3 and Short OUT2 to OUT4; Add 8V input between
EVM VM and GND ; Connect USB cable between EVM and computer.
Measure: Mode pin; nSleep pin; All INx pins are low. ;
here same I have installed All the there jumpers shorted the out1 & out3 and out2 and out4 applied the 8V connected USB between EVM and computer
So I measured the Mode pin;nSleeo ; all in1,in2,in3,in4 are low
b.Open the DRV8847EVM GUI and select "Parallel mode" and do "Driver Enable", you are going to
see:
1. "Fault Status" turns to red with no load at output. This is because the open load detection
function
2. "Fault Status" keeps green with a 15ohm load at output.
Measure Mode pin; nSleep pin and IN3 pin are high (3.3V). IN1, IN2 and IN4 pins are low.
Here same I have done ;selected parallel mode in GUI and enabled driver showed nFault red ;
measured ,nSleep pin and IN3 pin are high(3.2V approx 3.3V ) and IN1,IN2 and IN4 are also low
->but, after adding the load of 15ohms ,nFault is in red only (this is the first observation)
c. Enable "IN1" and set 100%, the IN1 voltage is 3.3V and OUT1-3 output is 8V on EVM, 512mA
current flow into the load.
Here I have enabled IN1 and set to 100% so that
I have observed 3.3V at IN1 BUT OUT1-3 output is 0.003 approx 0V across each output with ground it is varying between 200mv to 300mV)
Even tough I have tried multiple methods
- By varying the duty cycle of the inputs at a time both IN1,IN2 or IN1 ON and IN2 OFF or IN1 OFF or IN2 ON
- BY removing Jumpers J6;J7;J8 and J3(with push or reset and without )
- By varying Ramp Rate and Torque Scalar
- Even Though I changed the modes
But Output is not reflected
Please Do consider my question and give a solution as early as possible
