Hello TI experts,
I am getting confused of 2 KITs.
Either DRV8302-HC-C2-KIT or DRV8301-HC-C2-KIT can be found in ti.com
Are both the same (functional)? Or just with different driver chip but the same function?
Thanks for your reply in advanced.

I went a step further in DRV8302 and cleared this issue to me.
So generally, DRV8302 has no SPI interface, but almost the same functions as DRV8301.
I think, DRV8302 is more easier to be controled/communicated, because of dropping SPI interface.

Wang,
You are absolutely correct. The DRV8302 drops the SPI interface and replaces the 4 SPI pins with logic pins controllable with GPIO or you can just connect them high or low. You lose some of the functionality of the DRV8301 (i.e 4 gain steps on the current shunts in 8301 vs. 2 in the 8302). You also lose some of the diagnostic capabilities you have in the DRV8301.
Other than that, the rest of the device is identical.
Will the DRV8301 come with example software to communcate with the motor over SPI? Is it required to use the SPI interface to control the motor or is it just an additional feature that we can use if we choose?
Will the DRV8301 come with example code for the SPI interface? If I order a DRV8301 is it neccessary to use the SPI interface to drive the motor or am I able to drive the motor without the SPI interface (like the DRV8302) but eventually use it later.
The DRV8301-HC-C2-KIT comes with two example projects on Piccolo F28035. Both show how to set-up the DRV8301.
There will be further commands/APIs offered later in the fall through some additional SW being released across MCU.
Can the DRV8302-HC-C2-KIT be configured to use hall-effect sensors motors?
Does the software work with these type motors or will one need additional software to control them?
Is this the right part to use for demonstration of hall effect sensor motors?
Thanks for your help!

Yes it can
Yes, it needs additional SW (I have an example project running on DRV8301, very similar if you are set on using DRV8302)
Yes, certainly applicable for hall sensored motors if that's what you need to use.
