My customer checks the specification of DRV8601, and they want to tie OUT- (pin 8) of 5 DRV8601s.
Is it okay to design the schematic like above? What is the side effect of this concept?

Please attach your schematic. This device is used to drive a single LRA or ERM as shown in this schematic below. The OUT- and OUT+ connections are also shown below. If you are trying to use OUT- as a ground, this is not allowed. Thank you.

I don't think so, because as you can see from the data sheet, out- can swing to +5 V, it is *not* a "ground":
