DRV8889-Q1EVM: GUI does not work

Just for the record, the gui for the built-in MSP430 works fine.

Can you download it manually and try again. It may be some problem with the code downloading with the GUI.

That is one thing I am not clear on, do I need to flash the code to the MCU. or is it done for me?

Also, what do I *do* with it? put it in the workspace?

I created a new workspace that contains only this firmware, click the link in the doc, and get the same error.

I am not 100% sure I am out of the woods, but when I clicked the "open in system browser icon" and it connects when run in the browser and not in the CCS Resource Explorer window. Now to hook up my motor...

So, when you open the GUI in browser, the GUI will try to program the MSPM0. As it use UART to connect MSPM0, it need to program it first.

See your picture, it shows the GUI program the MSPM0 failed. That is why I let you to program manually.
