DRV3901-Q1: Details regarding the STATUS register

Part Number: DRV3901-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello Team,

Can you please support us answer the following queries

1. How do we ensure that the pyrofuse is successfully deployed or there is connection break at OUTH/OUTL pin for the pyrofuse, if the supply voltage is disconnected immediately after the firing pulse?

2.what is the tolerance level of  NAD/nFault pin, to be set for changing the address of the node?

Thanks and Regards

Samrudhee Neve

  • Hi Samrudhee,

Thanks for the question. Here are my comments.

    1. If there is a connection break in OUTH or OUTL path, the current sensed through the LS FET will not reach the ISNS_THRS and this will cause a TSTART_TO to happen. This would be shown in the DEPLOY_STAT register. Similarly if a undervoltage is detected also will be shown in the DEPLOY_STAT register. Further off state diagnostics  for load diagnostics can be done with higher resistance to ensure that the pyro resistance has  gone up.

    2. The node address depends on the pull up resistor on NAD/nFAULT pin and the limits are available in the datasheet

Please let me know if this clarifies the questions.

    Thanks,

    Ibinu
