DRV8316C: when current 2A，the chip explodes

Part Number: DRV8316C

Tool/software:

Input 24V, no-load or small current operation is normal, when the current gradually increases to 2A, the chip heats up, and then explodes the tube, the driving voltage waveform fluctuates as shown in the figure. The schematic diagram and PCB are shown below, please help to give some suggestions. What factors may cause this problem? Thank you!

    Hi Hui,

    Not sure if this is what's causing your issue but the layout for your outputs are not optimal. I would examine the DRV8316EVM hardware design files to compare the EVM layout with yours.
