DRV8912-Q1: Is it a direct replacement for TLE94112

Tool/software:

We are using TLE94112 in our products for HVAC control. I wonder if we can replace it with DRV8912 with no hardware and software change. Please let me know. Thank you.

Hi Wei,

It is hardware compatible with one small difference on one pin (nFAULT), but same functionality replacement. One small difference in the hardware is the Pin 12 is different nFAULT on DRV8912 and GND on the TLE; nFAULT gives you an output that can be used to monitor faults in the driver. The register map is also different but has very similar controls. Please let me know if this answered your question.

Basically, we have to change the circuit of one pin and revamp the software as well?
