DRV8847: Motor drivers forum

Part Number: DRV8847

Tool/software:

Using DRV8847 to drive a dc motor, when power on,the nfault pin is high about 10 seconds then change to low level.  The motor can run normarly. So I can't justify the motor condition.

Please tell me how to check it

  • Hi,

nFAULT can go to LOW level under the following conditions for this device - see below from the datasheet.

Likely the device may be running into to TSD (thermal shut down) after 10-seconds. Can you get the device temperature using a thermocouple or IR camera after turning on running for 10 s? Thank you.
