DRV8908-Q1: Recommended register setting and termination for unused pins of DRV8908-Q1

Hello experts,

Customer considers to use DRV8908-Q1 and they may not use OUT5~8.

In this case, is there any recommended register settings and termination(Float, Tie to GND...) for unused output pins?

They especially would like to know register settings regarding 8.3.1.1.4 in the datasheet.

    The unused output pins for example OUT5 to 8 in this case should be left open - floating.

    Which outputs the customer is planning to connect in parallel? The paragraph iterates the half-bridges connected in parallel must be mapped to the same PWM channel using its register settings assuming PWM drive is used. Customer is free to choose Free-wheeling mode desired for their application. Also 1 to 7 points are the sequence that must be followed in registers programming. This means steps 1-5 must not be changed after step 6 and 7. Step 7 should be the final step. Thank you.

    I understood for the pin termination. Doesn't the register setting of unused pins matter? Can any register settings for unused pins be accepted?

    Keeping the unused HB disabled - the default setting would be preferred. Thank you.
