Tool/software:
Hi support team all.
When the device is shipped, is the STL_ENABLE setting in the EEPROM 0 or 1?
I would like to know the default setting of STL_ENABLE when the power is first turned on.
Best regards,
Higa

Hi Higa,
Please allow me some time to look into this. I will aim to get back with you tomorrow.

Hi Joshua-san
This is extremely urgent. Please respond as soon as possible.

Hi Higa-san,
The factory default for the STL_ENABLE bit in the MCT8316A is 0 or disabled.
I will also explain a bit more what this bit does just in case you would like to know. This bit enables the self test library which is triggered only during boot time.
Are some MCT8316A's being observed as having the factory default STL_ENABLE bit being set to 1?
Regards,
Joshua
Hi Joshua-san
Thankyou for your confirming.
I am currently confirming with my customer, and it seems the default setting is STL_ENABLE=1.
Regards,
Higa
Hi Higa-san,
The customer can disable this bit and write the change to EEPROM so the MCT8316A does not keep going though the self test at boot up.
Can the customer provide the top symbol of the chips where they see STL_ENABLE =1 (If there are too many symbols, please provide at least 1)?
Regards,
Joshua
