DRV8824: Alternate part for DRV8824

We are using DRV8824 for our product. But while planning for new design and existing part correction, we found that, part is in LTB. Suggest the alternative part with one-to-one replacement or specification and pin matching.

    Hey Ram,

    You can continue to use DRV8824PWPR, it's the exact same part TI just is standardizing our orderable part numbers.  All our motor drivers should end in a "R" now to indicate they come in Tape and Reel format.  So DRV8824 is not LTB.  

    However if you're interested in a newer part check out DRV8436 - it is the same price and has more features with the option of a smaller package.  

    Or check out DRV8849 if you need to drive two stepper motors.

    Hello Ram,

    Like I responded to you in the other post the DRV8824 is currently in ACTIVE shipping status. Could be a specific package quantity option may be LTB. A reel option is not LTB for this part. That said there are several newer stepper drivers in our portfolio with upgraded architecture compared to the DRV8824.

    You may consider any of these devices, DRV8436, DRV8425, DRV8424, DRV8434. However these parts may not be one-to-one replacement not 100% pin-to-pin. Functionally they are equivalent. Thank you.
