In sleep mode the V5 regulator will be disabled - see below from the datasheet. So this will be a non starter, when the device is powered up V5 will not be immediately available and likely result in device in sleep forever if you tie SLEEPn to V5. You can connect SLEEPn to logic high permanently from another supply voltage source, for example from the MCU supply that's used to drive the DRV8711. Thanks.
