Tool/software:

Following setup initialisation given in data sheet.

1.reading status0 register

2.response : correct NAD address, POR set, SPI Normal response but no warning register set

3.Writing to config A0-A6 and B0 to B4 and then given CLR FAULT command CMD1 0x8000

4. response: correct NAD address, register address correct, 16 bit data 0x0000 upon reading CMD1 register

5 Reading status0

response: correct NAD and register address, but POR bit still set

6.Reading config register shows correctly written values in those register

I am not getting clear if device has entered in standby mode correctly or not and why POR bit is not getting clear after CLRFault And also why was warning bit not set initially as expected?

Are we missing upon some steps to be followed?

Hello,

Thank you for feedback. I did checked STATUS2 register but there were no warnings. Upon further debugging got root cause that CRC for CMD register was calculated incorrectly in Sw. got resolved with the issue now.

However now Chx_off_diag_stat are set to 1 indicating open load condition. with pin config 1, EN1 and EN2 enabled I tried to turn on Ch1 and ch2 over Spi.Ch1 and ch2 does turns on but gets turned off setting warning but in STATUS0 register to 1 and Chx_qtot_w to 1.

Can you please confirm if this is expected behaviour under open load condition?

Thanks for confirming the issue with the CMD register CRC.

Regarding the follow up query can you confirm what is the meaning of ,

Just to clarify, are the loads open, and if so how do you observe the CH1 and CH2 turn ON.

Hello,

I could see CH1 and CH2 status from Status0 registers changing from 1 to 0, warning bit set to 1 and Chx_Off_Diag_Stat bit set to 1.

Hi Priyanka,

Thanks for confirming.

The behavior mentioned above is expected.

CHx_STAT will reflect 0x1 since the device is commanded ON. However the OFF_DIAG_STAT will show error and will cause Warnings to be 1.
