LAUNCHXL-F28P55X: GUI composer

Tool/software:

I am having LAUNCHXL-F28P55X.

  • Is it compatible with TIs GUI composer which is online platform for HTML GUI generating tool?
  • As I tried to connect my board with the tool, it is not getting detected.Why is it?
  • I believe an extension called cloud agent need to be installed. I have found that it may soon be no longer be supported. Do that get relace with some other?

    Tashi,

    The F28P55x is our latest C2000 MCU, and should be supported within the TI GUI composer framework.  In terms of autodetection, I believe this uses the JTAGID embedded on the device.  I need to check this point, if the early TMX based material had this ID populated or not.  The other option is that the tool did not get updated with this new JTAGID.

    For your final question on cloud agent, I do not know the status or potential issue with that extension.  May I request that you post a new thread to the E2E with only that question?  I would use Code Composer Studio/Cloud as the device you are filing the request so that it gets routed to the correct support team.

    Let me know if Matt's response provides a resolution to your inquiry. FYI, the LAUNCHXL-F28P55X should be compatible with the GUI Composer tool. Are you attempting to connect to a specific GUI Composer App or are you in the process of designing your own GUI Composer tool?
