Part Number: DRV8244-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello,

My name is Paul, I am new here. I am searching about DRV8244S driver marking information.

How could I decipher what is written on it? Can you help me with this information?

On the top is write:

DRV8244S

TI     318

AEPG   G4

Below you can find his picture:

Thank you!

Regards,

Paul

  • Hey Paul,

The important part for you is DRV8244S.  This means it is a SPI-version of the device that has an integrated LDO to generate VDD logic power supply from the VM supply.

You can find this marking info near the end of the datasheet:

And here's a table from the datasheet explaining the difference between S/P/H of the device:

The rest of the markings are lot-trace information for TI internal use.  We can use this to determine when and where the device was manufactured.

    Best,

    Jacob

  • Thank you, Jacob!

Yes, I saw in datasheet the information about packaging, I know that the driver have SPI, but my question was regarding lot information (year, month, lot)

    Thank you!

    Best regards,

    Paul

  • Yeah sadly we can't share that info externally, and the marking doesn't denote it in any logical way.  We have to use an internal tool and basically put in the markings in a certain order and it then gives us the lot info. It isn't like AEPG means October 2024 or anything, it's just a trace code to find the lot.

    Best,

    Jacob
