Hello,

I am attempting to program the MSP430 on a ULC1001-DRV2911 EVM.

I purchased a new MSP-FET programmer and attached it to the test points on the EVM per ULC1001-DRV2911EVM-User-Guide - slau915.pdf:

Those are the only three signals I connected. The EVM is connected to an external supply at 14V.

The MSP-FET device shows up in Windows:

I've tried using CCS and I get this error:

I've tried using Uniflash and I get this error:

When running both CCS and Uniflash, I see the "Mode" light blink RED on the MSP-FET.

Am I missing any other signal connections? Do I need to press any buttons or change any jumper connections on the EVM?

how are you powering up the target board? Are you doing via JTAG? Before trying to connect, are you measuring stable 3.3V at TP9 of the EVM?

Thanks for the help.

My EVM is powered through the J4 terminal block and connected to a 14V bench top power supply. So no, I am not powering via JTAG.

State of TP9:

3.3V: When nothing connected
2.6V: When MSP-FET connected and its USB unplugged
3.2V: When MSP-FET connected and its USB plugged in

The problem has been resolved.

We double checked my wiring and I had the MSP-FET connector wires mirrored from what they should be.

I was able to load code with CCS successfully now.
