Hi Jon,
Give us a day to look into this and get back to you.

I confirmed the MSP430 drivers are installed for Application UART and Debug Interface UART. It tries to connect, saying "Hardware connection in progress" with 9600baud on the application UART, then it says faild to connect.
This did not fix anything. This is a squib driver, not a motor controller. Can I please return my inop board and have it replaced with a working one?
Thank you,
Jon
Hi,
It is the same debugger on all the DRV EVM's so far, which is why I sent the FAQ. Can you also ensure that you have applied power to the EVM before connecting it to the computer. Can you also send a picture of what you are seeing on the EVM on your end?
Best,
Keerthi
Is there any movement on this issue. I cannot use the eval board still.
Thank you,
Jon
Everything appears ok in terms of drivers and host GUI. Given the older board that was just sent maybe there is a "firmware version" mismatch?
Hi Jon,
Can you try updating firmware to see if it is caused by a firmware mismatch?

I don't have a "File" tab on the browser GUI I invoked from the TI resources page for the device.
Hi Jon,
Once it fails to connect, it should give you that option:

Got the File tab and loaded the firmware successfully. Still not able to connect. I tried with the browser GUI as well as the standalone app. Might be a board issue at this point.
Thanks,
Jon
Hi Jon,
Let me check once with the person that designed this board and get back to you.

Hi Jon,
Can you confirm if the 5V and 3.3V supplies are coming up.
Also please share an image of the board, i wanted to see the jumper configurations.
Thanks,
Ibinu
Can I get a new board please. I am being pressed to get our design started and I have not been able to evaluate this device.
Thank you,
Jon
Hi Jon,
In the image you have sent, PVDD is not connected, so D3 is not illuminated. Can you confirm that you are connecting 12 V to PVDD and seeing the LED illuminate before attempting to connect. Can you double check that you have followed these step:

I have been able to connect. Is there a header description that matches my board? I can't tell what all the jumper settings on all the headers are meant to be, given the document that has a different board picture and description. I have not yet been able to get a deploy signal.
thank you,
Jon
Hi Jon,
Please refer to the EVM user's guide on the EVM page for a description of all the headers on the EVM:

The EVM guide is not the same as my board. It roughly matches so I will use it as is. Can I get the schematic for "my" board (see above picture). The descriptions in the doc for header use are not very descriptive in some cases and lacking in others.
Thank you,
Jon
Hi Jon,
You can request the board files and schematic through this link on the DRV3901 page:
