Hi PRABHAT,

By next week we will share you the draft.

Few quick tips to unblock you here,

1. MPET R, L measurement (Not available in MCF8329A version). Types of fault and reason briefly explained below

1.1 MPET IPD Fault - 1) DRVOFF Pin may be high, make it low, 2) Winding may be open or ,motor may not be connected

1.2 MPET IPD Frequency Fault - IPD Current is too high so that second pulse starts before first pulse is completely decayed (Current rise and fall time is needed for R, L estimation), reduce the MPET IPD frequency

2. MPET KE Fault - Motor may not be able to spin at speed reference set (Increase open loop current reference but make sure current rating not exceeding 1/2 of rated current of motor, set STAT_DET_THR to lowest , increase the open loop speed reference for low inertia motor

3. Do not select MPET KE and MPET MECH option together, complete MPET KE first and then MPET MECH.

Yup, when I tried things individually, Ke was measured correctly, but when I select MECH and run MPET, the motor keeps spinning indefinitely, and no measurement is done. Motor status always shows MOTOR_MPET_KE_MEASURE even when only MECH measurement is selected.

Hi Prabhat,

For MCF8329A you need to measure R,L and program.

Then run KE and MECH.

Please refer to this table for details and suggestion for configuring for successful MPET.

Can you share motor details here?

Need rated current, Voltage, Motor winding resistance, inductance and max speed.

If you know pole pair provide that as well.
