DRV8410: Vtrip temperature dependancy

Part Number: DRV8410

Tool/software:

The DRV8410 datasheet states 0.2V typical , min 0.18V and max 0.23V over a temperature range of -40 to 150 degrees.

Do we have any data on the Vtrip temperature dependency, ie. is Vtrip lower at lower temp and higher higher at higher temperatures or is it the opposite?

Thanks,

Anders

  • Hi Anders,

The Vtrip value will increase with hotter temperatures and decrease with colder. This is due to an increase in resistance (Rsense) which increases the voltage on Vtrip, when the device heats up.

The values specified in the datasheet, 180mV to 230mV, cover the entire temperature range of -40 to 150 degrees.

    Best,

    David
