Tool/software:
We are utilizing the DRV8910QPWPRQ1 chip in one of our circuit board designs and have encountered an issue with the latest iteration of our PCB.
Issue Description
- Upon power-up, the nFAULT pin remains low, indicating a fault state.
- Any SPI communication attempts with the chip consistently returns 0xC1C1 for all register addresses.
- Previous versions of this PCB functioned as expected; however, in the latest revision, some components were slightly modified.
Troubleshooting Attempts
- We have verified all input and output voltage levels.
- We attempted resetting the chip after power-up, but this did not resolve the issue.
Request for Guidance
Could you please clarify the meaning of the 0xC1C1 response, and advise if there are additional diagnostic steps we can take to isolate or resolve the fault condition?
We would greatly appreciate any insight or recommendations to address this issue. Please let us know if further details about the design or troubleshooting steps are required.
