BOOSTXL-DRV3245AQ1: EVM GUI SW can not recognize the serial port

Dear TI team,

I am using BoostXL-DRV3245AQ1 EVM board.

I have set up following the document named "BOOSTXL-DRV3245AQ1EVMUser'sGuide.pdf" released at Oct 2017.

However, BoostXL-DRV3245AQ1 GUI SW can not recognize the serial port, even the Device Manger in my Windows detected COM port.

"No device selected" shows on the Serial port page.

Also, the log in the BoosXL-DRV3245AQ1 SW shows the serial ports connected as follows.
"oneui: server: hwcomm: Device connect

oneui: server: Board selected: drv3245evm

oneui: server: hwcomm: Using board - DRV3245 EVM"

I have tried program running without my company security SW and 2 different computers with Windows 10.

If you have same experience and idea to solve the problem, Please support me.

One thing I want to ask that the latest supporting version of CCSTUDIO for BoostXL-DRV3245AQ1 EVM.

I have tried with 20.0.0(02 DEC 2024), the latest version but not supported EVM.

Now, I use version 7.4.0.00015(12 DEC 2017) and 8.3.1.00004(02 May 2019) and seems working even the EVM GUI has same problem as above.

Have you tried more than one BOOSTXL-DRV3245AQ1 PCB?

When did this issue start to occur?

Can you show us a picture of your setup?

--> I have 2 BoostXL boards and launch pads(one virgin, one debugged by CCS), all combinations are showing same situation.

When did this issue start to occur?

--> It was occurred first time, following the doc name "BOOSTXL-DRV3245A-Q1TRAP-EVMGUIUser’sGuide":

step 5 in the 2.2 Using BOOSTXL-DRV3245AQ1 EVM GUI

Dear Adam.

I thought you need my screenshot. I attach the board setting.

I also connect with DC power(5V) and BLDC motor with 3 wires.

Also I have TI LaunchPad with Hercules MCU (Part No. LAUNCHXL2-TMS57012)

Is it compatable?

Can you try the software again? We had an issue with the online firmware which was updated, I wonder if this was related to the issue you were seeing.

Which firmware do you mean? Do I need to try again the EVM GUI SW only?

Now I have the file named "Setup_BOOSTXLDRV3245AQ1-1.0.2_EVM.exe"

I will download and try again following yout comment,

However It seems the file is latest one on your website.

If you commented another SW, could you share the download link?

Also I searched but could not find the SW installation file link.

I just found link for guide. (TI Cloud Agent)
