MCF8316A: How to enter in low power mode

How MCF8316A enter in low power mode?

we use I2C to control speed.

I see if speed lower than one value it will drop in low power mode automatically? right?

And do we have power consumption for MCF8316 data can provide to customer ?

Hi Tony,

Please refer to sleep entry/exit criteria in the data sheet (MCF8316C)

If device is configured as sleep mode, the Speed/WAKE pin controls entering into sleep mode and exiting from sleep.

When this pin is held low for more than "SLEEP_ENTRY_TIME" configuration device enters sleep.

You can find electrical spec for VM Sleep mode current.
