Tool/software:
I am following this guide to setup the EVM: Brushed Motor Control User Guide. However when I connect the EVM to my laptop using the GUI, the warning lights on the fault indicators are constantly red and I can’t seem to remove them.
I have removed the resistors and double checked on the wiring as well as soldering to ensure that there aren't any accidental wrong connections.
I have probed SPI Communication lines on oscilloscope at SDI/nSCS/SCLK. Unfortunately, it doesn't display any expected results. For example, I do not see a square wave on SCLK. I suspect the problem is on the SPI communication but I am not sure how to fix it except that my suspicion is the firmware being flashed wrongly by the GUI.
I have attached images and videos of my setup in the zip file. I have removed the micro-USB cable connecting the DRV8706S-Q1EVM to the laptop so you can ignore that wire. Do hope you are able to help on this.
