Hi support team all.
IGVDD,3SW is 6mA (typ), but is this an average value?
Could you tell me the peak current value?
My customer is estimating the power supply capacity for GVDD.
Best regards,
Higa

Hi Higa-san,
Thanks for your question! What GVDD capacitance is the customer using and what bootstrap capacitance are they using?

Anthony Lodi
Hi Lody-san
Thank you for your reply.
My customer is considering GVDD and bootstrap capacitances which based on EVM circuit.
Best regards,
Higa
Thanks Higa-san!
We plan on performing some testing hopefully this week to provide information on the peak current value.

Hi Higa-san,
My coworker tested this on bench and found that the primary inrush that was observed was when powering on GVDD, and it was observed that less than 160mA peak current was present during this inrush current and the vast majority of the inrush was around 130mA. This was with a 10uF and 100nF capacitor on GVDD, as well as a 3.3V and 5V LDO that was also powered from GVDD.
I hope that helps!

Anthony Lodi
Hi Lody-san
Thank you for kind support.
Is the source power supply current limited to 130mA?
Regards,
Higa
Hi Higa-san,
My coworker indicated that the power supply current limit is set to 600mA. So the 130mA shouldn't be due to power supply current limiting.

Higa-san
