Hi team,

Could you please share your suggestions for below questions?

1. If the DVDD is 3.3V，what values should the RS_GND and RS_PVDD be?

2. Because OUTx output fault detection is related to the value of VDVDD. If 3.3V is used for fault detection, OUTX_PU and OUTY_PD both detect an open circuit, then the OUTX and OUTY values are always 1.65V, which is 2V below the OLP_REFL values. Does this indicate that the chip is consistently reporting the fault? Does the DRV8000-Q1 support 3.3V DVDD systems？

Hi team,

Customer's understanding is that DRV8000-Q1 cannot be set to open OLP_PU and OLP_PD separately for each half bridge, only in pairs, such as OLT1 OLP_PU and OUT2 OLP_PD.

If for 3.3V systems, triggering OLP detection in offstate mode is 1.65V for both OUT1 and OUT2, the threshold of 2V-2.65V cannot be met, and it appears that the short to ground for OUT1 and OUT2 cannot be detected.

Could you please help check ASAP? Thanks.

Hi Ivy,

Can you tell me who is the customer?

Do they have an EVM that they can evaluate on?

The block diagram isn't entirely correct as the 5 V doesn't come from DVDD, but rather an internal 5 V supply. I will confirm this with our designer and let our systems engineer know if this needs to be corrected. I have also checked this once on an EVM where DVDD is 3.3 V, but if you do OL it is still with respect to 5 V.

The customer is still evaluating the datasheet and not start to test the EVM board.
