We are using the DRV8844PWP in our past designs, and now it is getting obsolete. The alternative is DRV8844PWPR but this part is still not AEC-Q100 qualified. Do you have any alternatives that are automotive qualified

Can you confirm on the ed equipment where DRV8844PWP is being used. The qualification rating is catalog and not automotive here. Can you please confirm

Hi Ibinu,

We are using it to drive some peripheral fans/motors in our system. The system is put inside inside an automobile although not directly interfacing with the engine system, we still would like to have our components automotive qualified. Please recommend an alternative that has a healthy lifecycle.

Hi,

Thank you for your interest for automotive BDC motor driver.

DRV8242Q1/DRV8243-Q1/DRV8244-Q1/DRV8245-Q1 could be good one as 4 channel half bridge drivers. They are latest our automotive BDC families. DRV8245-Q1 can support higher current to drive.

Hi Shinya,

Thanks for the recommendation but I think this family only has 2 channels (1 for BDC). Is there any that has 4 channels that can be individually like the DRV8844? In some cases we use the DRV8844 as a driver for a generic load ig. leds, relays

Hi,

Yes, then we propose 2 pcs of DRV8242Q1/DRV8243-Q1/DRV8244-Q1/DRV8245-Q1 to drive 2 H-Bridge.

DRV8243-Q1 HR-QFN is 3x4.5mm package size. Even 2pcs, size is smaller. 2 chip solution is better for thermal as well if customer drive 2 H-bridges at the same time.

We do not have 4 x half bridge driver with Q100.
