DRV8803: Failure modes details for - Two low side drive outputs in parallel to drive single critical relay

Part Number: DRV8803

Tool/software:

In my design I am using DRV8803 low side driver based boards (Redundant boards - two boards in parallel) to drive a single critical relay.

If one of the driver fails as short circuit, Relay will get energied unintentionally and other low side dirver will not have any control.

For such scenario - I would like to know "What are the failure mode of the low side driver output, can it fali as a short(between Source & Drian)". IF YES,

In that case How two low side drivers can be connected in parallel (Redundant manner) to drive a single relay coil. DO I need to add any other additonal circuitary to avoid un-intentional firing of the relay coil.
