We just received one of your ev. boards, the DRV8706H-Q1EVM.
It seems that we can't connect the PC to the development board to perform the first start-up.
We tried both your "pc-based" application available here on your site and the "web-based" version that runs directly in the browser.
In both cases the problem seems to be the same:
- your software correctly recognizes the presence of a COM port linked to your development board
- however, when it tries to communicate with the MSP micro on the board, it aborts the thing, as if they were unable to communicate correctly
We also tried to reprogram the micro on the dev board with the binary always available on the product page but the result does not change.
We have used various USB cables and different PCs without finding any differences in the problem.
The board is correctly powered on J2 and we see a couple of LEDs lit plus a flashing one that I think indicates the functionality of the microcontroller on board.
Any suggestion on how solve the issue?
