DRV8353R: DRV8353R went into OTS and isnt working after i let it cool over night.

Part Number: DRV8353R

Tool/software:

We have been using DRV8353R to drive an inverter circuit at 48 V and the current was limited to just 1 A. We started off with 100 mA Source and 200 mA sink current to drive the mosfets. Firstly the individual MOSFET switching was done and we got positive results looking at the VGS and VDS curves. We moved ahead with the switching and slowly increased the drive current to 400 mA source and 600 mA sink current. Positive results were obtained for individual mosfet switching and half bridge driving. Then we moved onto driving high side and low side switches altogether with a dead time of 6.25 us with the same current settings. After some time jitters were observed on the VGS curve but there was not much overshoot on the VDS curve (approx 2V). We went ahead with the tests and after some time the IC went into thermal shutdown and the corresponding fault bit went low. We let the system cool overnight and started the next day. The driver still shows OTS bit low and the fault bit can not be cleared. What could be the possible reason for this and can it still be made to operate?
