I am trying to operate the IC in H Bridge mode. I had the SRC pins not connected to GND. I still noticed that current flows through the load.

Hi Antony,

Is there a particular reason that you left the SRC pins floating? For the device to operate within datasheet specs and to prevent damage to the device, we recommend following the datasheet recommendations like tying the SRC pins to GND.

Hi Joshua,

I am designing the circuit to output contact current. So I have a constant current driver on the SRC pin so it can sink constant current. Any recommendations for that?

HI Antony,

Just to make sure, could you send a schematic or at least a block diagram of your system?

For driving a contactor I would recommend taking a look at the DRV3946-Q1 since it is better suited for that application.
