MCF8316A: Will MCF8316A drive motor greater than 20 ohm coil resistance?

Dear Sir/Madam,

We have received a requirement to drive BLDC motor (no specification provided). Motor resistance Phase to Phase is 54 ohm. But our requirement to drive motor of max 80W. I was going through MCF8316A datasheet and found max. motor resistance should be 20E and inductance 20mH. 

Kindly clarify, Can MCF8316A drive the motor? If not, suggest other suitable drivers.

    Hi Eashwar,

    Maximum resistance and Inductance supported is up to 20ohm and 20mH.

    MCF8316C is suggested for power level up to 40W and above this we recommend external MOSFET due to thermal challenges.

    What is the voltage level and speed of the motor?
