DRV8703-Q1: Driving Solenoids: Independent 1/2 half bridge control and using PWM Current regulation feature

Hello,

We would like to use the DRV8703 Gate Driver to drive 2 Solenoids. We would like to connect each Solenoid to a 1/2-half bridge. Thus we need to operate the Gate Driver in independent 1/2 Bridge control?! Depending on that is it still possible to use Mode 0 (Ph or EN) to enable the PWM current control / current chopping feature of the gate driver.

    Hi Andre,

    If you do independent half bridge, then current regulation is not possible. Please see note:

    What is the load current, and operating voltage?

    Would a LS driver with peak and hold capability be ok in this application?

    Is there anything else that is a key care about?
